چکیده
For a particle moving in a one-dimensional space an under a periodic external force, its quantization is study using the Hamiltonian (generalized linear momentum quan-tization) and constant of motion (velocity quantization) approaches. it is shown a great difference on the quantization of both approaches and the ambiguities arisen by using the quantization on the constants of motion.

Given a constant of motion for the one-dimensional harmonic oscillator with linear dissipation in the velocity, the problem to get the Hamiltonian for this system is pointed out, and the quantization up to second order in the perturbation approach is used to determine the modification on the eigenvalues when dissipation is taken into consideration. This quantization is realized using the consta...

We investigate theoretically the phenomenon of so-called fast light in an unconventional regime, using pulses sufficiently short that relaxation effects in a gain medium can be ignored completely. We show that previously recognized instabilities associated with coherent propagation in a gain medium can be tolerated in reaching the fast light goal of a pulse peak advance of one full peak width.

The CP violating asymmetries in the b → dl+l− decay, when one of the leptons is polarized, is investigated using the most general form of the effective Hamiltonian. The sensitivity of the CP violating asymmetries on the new Wilson coefficients is studied. PACS numbers: 12.60.–i, 14.65.Fy e-mail: [email protected] e-mail: [email protected]

We consider the dynamics of a quantum particle in a one-dimensional periodic potential (lattice) under the action of a static and time-periodic field. The analysis is based on a nearest-neighbor tight-binding model which allows a convenient closed form description of the transport properties in terms of generalized Bessel functions. The case of bichromatic driving is analyzed in detail and the ...
